Twitter Integration
![]()
You have composed a mobile text message to be sent to all your contacts. Wouldn’t it be nice to also tweet the same message through your Twitter account?
Yes, you can do that by linking your Twitter account to SMS Communications Manager. Once set up, you can choose to also tweet the same message that you plan to send by SMS (mobile text).
This is supported for Web SMS as well as the broadcast message under Automated Tasks.
** Used together with the Voice Message feature, you can easily create and post a ‘voice tweet’.
Add Twitter
You must have a valid Twitter account.
Under the Settings tab, click the Add button. You will need to enter your Twitter username and password in the page followed.

Once your account is successfully authenticated, you will see your Twitter name and username listed.

Click the Change button to change to another Twitter account or to remove the current account.
Post Tweets
For Web SMS, check the ‘Tweet this message’ option:

For Automated Tasks, under Broadcast Message check the ‘Tweet this message’ option:

The maximum length of a tweet message is 140 characters (70 Unicode characters). If your message is more than 140 characters it will be posted as two or more tweets.
You can check your message history under the Message Store tab. Deleting a tweet message from the Message Store will only delete it locally and not from your Twitter account.
